How do you guess the weight of your salmon without a scale?
Measure the fish from tip of nose to fork of tail then around the fish in front of the Pectoral Fins. Now take the girth measurement and square it, then multiply this by the length measurement and divide the sum total by 800. That gives the fish weight.

Example
Girth of Fish = 12 inches
Length of Fish = 30 inches
Square Girth (12 X 12 = 144)
Multiply 144 X 30 =4320
Divide by 800 = 5.4 pounds
