Arbot Knot (for connecting line to spool)
1. Pass line over and around reel arbor (spool).
2. Tie a single overhand knot around the line.
3. Tie a second overhand knot in tag end.

Improved Clinch (for tying lure on to line)
1. Insert tag end of line through hook or lure eye and double back, paralleling standing line. Allow at lest 4 inches of tag line for easy handling. Wrap tag end around standing line a minimum of five times.
2. Insert tag end through loop between first wrap and hook eye. Pull through and insert through large loop. Pinch tag end against standing line with your fingers.
3. Pull standing line and lure in opposite directions, seating and locking the wraps into neat right spirals. Be careful that one wrap does not overlap another. Trim tag end right to knot.

Palomar Knot (for tying on smaller lures)
1. Pass line through hook eye front-to-back. Bring tag end back through the eye, back-to-front, forming loop twice as long as hook fly or lure.
2. Hold hook and line of eye. Pass loop around standing line and tag end on opposite side of hook eye. After wrapping around lines, turn loop back through itself, creating an overhand knot.
3. Pull loop down and over hook so that loop legs come up on either side of hook shank.
4. Pull on line to sear know against eye. Trim tag end.

Two Hook Sliding Knot (two hook baitfish rig)
1. Run leader through eye parallel with shank. Pinch against shank.
2. Take leader above the eye, double back and wrap shank three times.
3. Pass leader end back through eye, creating a loop.
4. Wrap loop around shank below top know. Tuck final loop beneath spur.
5. Place fingers over know to maintain wraps and pull leader tight.
6. Using separate leader, duplicate first know on top hook.
7. Run main leader through loop wraps parallel with shank, passing through hook eye.
8. Position at desired distance from bottom hook and snug.

Snell (leader to hook connection)
1. Pass one end of leader through hook eye until it reaches barb.
2. Pass other end of leader through eye in opposite direction and let it extend tow inches beyond the eye creating a large loop
3. Hold two tag end against the shank. Grasp leg of the loop nearest to the eye and wind a tight, spiral coil around the shank and the tow tag ends.
wind from the eye toward the gap.
4. Take 15 turns around the shank. Hold wraps tight with fingers. Grasp the leader end protruding from the eye and pull steadily until the enture leader has passed under the coil and out the eye.
5. Grasp the remaining tag end with pliers and pull solidly to sear and lock wraps.

Hook Snell (Uni-knot style)
1. Thread line through eye and pull out 6 inches of line. Hold line against shank and form Uni-Knot circle.
2. Make six to 12 wraps through loop around line and hook shank. Pull tag end to close and seal wraps.
3. Pull standing line and hook in opposite directions to tighten snell.

Line to Lure Hook (Uni-knot style)
1. Run 6 inches of age end through eye. Hold two lines together, then double back the end, forming a circle.
2. With tag end make six wraps around both lines above the eye, working from the lure up the line.
3. Pull tag end to seat wraps. Be careful not to let turns overwrap. Pull standing line to slide knot firmly against eye. Trim tag end close to knot.

Joining Two Lines (Uni-knot style)
1. Lay two line ends parallel in opposing directions with about 6 inches of overlap. With one end form a 2-inch Uni-Knot circle.
2. Make six wraps around the two lines, and pull end to seat wraps.
3. Tie a duplicate knot with the other tag end. Moisten with water, and pull the two lines against each other, sliding two knots together. Trim close to knots.
