Don't be afraid of a crowd
- Wear protective glasses to protect your eyes from flying hooks and sinkers.
- Have appropriate tackle and footwear for the water you intend to fish.
- Follow the unwritten rules. Each location has its own.
- Watch others and don't be afraid to ask questions.
- Be patient and courteous, especially when looking for a spot to fish.
- Never take someone's spot.
- When you hook a salmon, yell "fish on!"
- When someone yells "fish on!" pull your line from the water and
step back.
- Land your fish quickly so others can resume fishing.
- If someone has a fish on and your line becomes tangled with theirs, cut
yours.
- Help others but always ask permission before netting someone's fish
