In the event of typographical errors, please call by 10:00a.m. the first day the ad appears. The Clarion will be responsible for only one incorrect insertion.

• Billing invoices payable on receipt.
• Refunds are valid for 30 days. No refunds under $5.00 will be given.

Commissions and Terms of Payment

Retail advertising rates and contracts are net and non-commissionable. Agency and cash discounts do not apply. All advertising is payable upon placement unless credit has been approved by the Credit Department. All accounts are billed monthly and due upon receipt. The Kenai Peninsula Borough 5% sales tax will be added to each bill.

General Conditions

Position - Although position of an ad will not be guaranteed, every effort will be made to meet reasonable requests. Failure to meet reasonable requests will not constitute cause for adjustment, refund or rerun. Guaranteed position is 25% extra when available.

Errors - In case of an error or ommission in advertisements, publisher shall not be liable for damage further than the amount received for such advertisement. The Peninsula Clarion assumes no liability for any difference in the sales of goods at an incorrectly advertised price. Advertisers, agents, or representatives approval of proof removes the responsibility for errors in price or copy.

Ad Copy - The publisher reserves the right to reject any advertising copy submitted. The Peninsula Clarion disclaims responsibility and shall not be liable for ommission for any cause (flood, fires, etc.) or for advertiser’s material printing distinctly in the paper. Advertising set to resemble news matter must carry the word “advertisement” at the top of the ad. Standard Clarion editorial typefaces shall not be used in such advertisements. Any advertisement of a political nature or of a controversial issue must carry the name of the person paying for the said ad or of the committee paying for the ad with the chairman’s name.

Special Services

Creative Services Department - Services range from custom layouts to original artwork. Layouts are done as a service to the advertisers and original artwork is done at a charge of $40.00 per hour with a minimum $10.00 charge.
